Much of my scientific interests have been cultivated by witnessing adverse changes right in my own backyard.  The dynamic balance between man and nature and the constant challenges that arise from this interaction have inspired me to pursue the sciences.

I am currently working towards a Masters degree at Stony Brook University’s School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences.  I am actively working on determining the feasibility of Eastern Oyster restoration in the Hudson River.  My current focus is on the development of a habitat assessment index to be used in the site section process for restoration work.  I am fortunate to have my research advised by Jeffrey Levinton.

Other interests of mine include physiological changes associated with growth selection on hard clams and possible effects of reintroduction to the natural system.
