Research Interests:
I am pursuing a masters degree in marine science in the School of
Marine and Atmospheric Science's at Stony Brook University. My thesis
research will be looking at the historical water quailty data for the Western
Bays of the South Shore Estuary Reserve. I
will be gathering and interpreting this data with regard to wastewater
treatment plant efflunet and associated nutrient distributions. This
research will help to advance water quality management measures,
including preparation of Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) requiremtns
for discharges into the bays. Reseach for my thesis will be conducted
under the guidance of Dr. R. Lawrence Swanson.
My general interests include waste management practices and how we can
use these practices to provide sustainablility for the future. I
enjoy promoting waste management practices through the public policy
sector.
