I am an Assistant Professor in the Sociology Department and Core Faculty in the Graduate Program in Public Health at State University of New York at Stony Brook.  I received my Ph.D. and A.M. from Brown University and my B.A. from Boston College.

My substantive research interests focus on disabilities, gender inequalities, and the transition to adulthood in the context of families and occupations. I am on leave during the 2012-2013 academic year as a National Academy of Education/Spencer Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow.
