about me

jennifer b wurtzel

Greetings! I am a third-year graduate student at Stony Brook University pursuing my M.S. in Marine and Atmospheric Science. I am conducting my thesis work in paleoceanography, under the advisement of Dr. David E. Black.

In 2008, I received my Bachelor's of Science in Earth Systems Science from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. My focus was in atmospheric science and required coursework in oceanography, earth science, calculus, physics, and meteorology.

Outside of the lab, my main interest is in classical music. I've been playing cello for 15 years and enjoy playing on my own and in chamber and symphonic groups.
