I am currently completing my Masters thesis at Stony Brook under the guidance of Dr. Demian Chapman. My thesis research consists of conducting a phylogeographic study of two shark species, the dusky (Carcharhinus obscurus) and the bronze whaler (Carcharhinus brachyurus), as well as assesing the use of DNA barcoding as a tool for monitoring shark fishing at Turneffe atoll, Belize.
